When the next move isn’t obvious
I'm the Job Girl
Rebecca Henninger and The Job Girl have been featured in Forbes, Inc., SUCCESS, Scary Mommy, and other national media outlets
I’m Rebecca Henninger, founder of The Job Girl. For more than 15 years, I’ve worked one-to-one with experienced professionals navigating consequential career decisions, from Director and VP moves to major pivots, reinvention and the question of what comes after a successful career.
My work starts with positioning. Before we rewrite a resume, rebuild LinkedIn or launch a search, we need to understand what you are moving toward, what parts of your experience should lead, and how the market needs to understand your value now.
My clients are not starting from scratch. They have real experience, meaningful responsibility and often successful careers behind them. The challenge is deciding what comes next — and positioning that experience to make the move possible.
Positioning Comes Before the Resume
For an overview of what professional career coaching includes and when it’s most effective, see our guide to professional career coaching.
At this stage, you don’t need more materials — you need a clear point of view about who you are, what you’re best at, and where you’re headed next. Career coaching is designed to help you move forward with clarity, confidence, and alignment at this stage of your career.
Identify the roles, environments and possibilities that make sense for who you are now — not simply what your career history suggests you should do next.
Articulate your value with precision and confidence. We define how your experience comes together into a clear narrative that resonates with decision-makers and supports the roles you’re targeting.
Once the direction and positioning are clear, build the resume, LinkedIn, messaging, networking and search strategy around a specific goal.

How do I know which Coaching option Is right for me?
If you have a general sense of where you’re headed and want ongoing strategy and guidance as you navigate the search, Monthly Career Coaching is usually the best fit.
If you’re at a larger career inflection point and need to determine what comes next, define your positioning, build your career materials, and navigate the transition, Next Chapter Advisory provides a more comprehensive engagement.
If you already know exactly where you’re going and primarily need a new resume, LinkedIn profile, and career messaging, a Career Branding Portfolio may be the better fit.
What if I don’t know what I want next?
That’s often exactly when clients come to me. We look at your experience, strengths, priorities, and the parts of your career you want to carry forward or leave behind. From there, we evaluate realistic options and define a direction before building the positioning around it.
How is career coaching different from career branding?
Career coaching is for clients who need ongoing strategy, decision-making, and guidance as their search or transition evolves.
Career branding is for clients who already know where they’re headed and need to position their experience for that target through their resume, LinkedIn profile, and messaging.
Next Chapter Advisory combines both.
Do you work with clients outside New Jersey?
Yes. I’m based in New Jersey and work one-to-one with clients nationwide by phone and video.
Do you work with executives and senior leaders?
Do you specialize in a particular industry?
How much does career coaching cost?
How do I get started?
Yes. Much of my work is with Directors, VPs, executives, and other experienced professionals navigating advancement, a significant pivot, or a different kind of next chapter.
I work across industries, with particularly deep experience in pharma, biotech, life sciences, healthcare, and corporate leadership. My work is centered on the individual career challenge rather than requiring clients to come from one specific industry.
Monthly Career Coaching is $595/month and includes four hours of private coaching plus ongoing Slack access between sessions. Longer-term engagements are available at a reduced monthly rate.
Next Chapter Advisory is $2,995 and includes the deeper strategy, positioning, career branding, and ongoing advisory work needed for a more significant career transition.
Start with a $35 consultation. We’ll talk about where you are, what you’re considering, and which type of engagement makes the most sense for what you need. The $35 will be credited to the program you select.
I
I work with high-achieving professionals across New Jersey and nationwide in roles that require clarity, strategic storytelling, and modern personal branding. My clients come from industries where strong communication, leadership value, and cross-functional impact matter.
